GINAMARIE ELLIS - DEDICATED, EXPERIENCED & READY TO SERVE

Chester Heights is more than where I live—it’s my lifelong home, and it’s been an honor to serve as your Mayor. Over the past 40+ years, I’ve lived at five different addresses across the Borough—from the Village of Valleybrook to Logtown Road and now Wawa Road—because I’ve consistently chosen to stay and raise my family in this special community.

I’m a proud alumna of St. Thomas the Apostle School and later sent both of my sons there. Since 2008, I’ve been a group exercise instructor at the Rocky Run YMCA, where I teach a range of classes including Body Combat (my personal favorite), cycle, Pilates, fitness, and Body Pump. I’m also a certified personal trainer, published fitness blogger, and public speaker. In addition, I currently serve on the Advisory Board of Penn State Great Valley—Go State!

In my first four years of public service, I served on Borough Council as both Pro Tem and Vice President. I also chaired the Communications Committee for six years and co-founded the former Mayor’s Event Committee, which launched some of the Borough’s most cherished traditions—including the Easter Egg Hunt, Lunch with Santa, Movie Nights, Community Day, and community fundraisers.

From 2018 to 2023, I was the voice behind the Borough’s Facebook and Instagram pages, sending nearly 250 email updates to residents and creating, editing, and managing the majority of the Borough’s printed newsletters. If you’ve received a communication from Chester Heights in recent years, chances are I wrote it.

As Mayor, I’ve truly enjoyed leading community projects, collaborating with Council, working closely with the Pennsylvania State Police and neighboring municipalities, and serving as a connector and advocate for residents. I love being your Mayor, and I’m proud to be a passionate cheerleader for our Borough.
